The Monarch serves up tasty food and drink in a friendly, fun-loving environment that welcomes everyone. Situated at the roundabout in historic Delano, just west of downtown Wichita across the Arkansas River, we are home to one of the largest selections of whiskey in Kansas, a dog-friendly patio, and plenty of locally-made art for the eyes and ears.
In the early days of Wichita, Delano garnered a reputation for roughhousing, with cowboys brawling in saloons and gunfights spilling into the streets. The neighborhood may have gotten a little more refined over the past century and a half, but that pioneer spirit still shines through in the vibrant and walkable stretch of independently-owned businesses along West Douglas Avenue, formerly known as the Chisholm Trail.
